After being announced at MWC 2012, the HTC One series have been on many a consumers wish list. As of today, you can get your hands on the HTC One X and HTC One V.
Held in the center court of one of the top malls in the country, HTC made it quite a large scale event and there were a lot of people who attended the launch. The HTC One X has a polycarbonate unibody at 8.9mm thick which is resistant to scratches and stains. The emcee conducted her own lipstick-test which concluded with the phone being wiped clean, leaving no visible stains.
A 4.7 inch display with 720p resolution is used while the phone is powered by a monstrous quad-core 1.5GHz NVIDIA Tegra 3 processor. One of the highlighted points during the presentation was its 8.0 megapixel camera which uses f2.0 lens and this supposedly makes low-light snaps better. HTC says that it can take up to 99 continuous shots at 4 frames per second and this we tested although we didn’t have the patience to wait for 99 shots. Besides that, a photo can also be capture while simultaneously shooting an HD video. This picture will be churned out at 5 megapixels while the video will be unaffected.
The HTC One V is powered by a 1GHz processor and it has an internal memory of 4GB with the option of microSD card addition. 3.7 inches of screen real estate swallows up the front of the phone and its display is of 400 by 800 resolution. The camera is a 5 megapixel shooter which also has a BSI Sensor f2.0 aperture for low light shooting.
Both the HTC One X and V come with Beats Audio Technology and also free 25GB worth of Dropbox storage space for 2 years. At the end of the 2 years, your contents will not be deleted with the only difference being the fact that you can’t add stuff to it. To top it all off, both will come with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich pre-installed.
Both models are now available at all HTC authorised resellers and mobile operators from today onwards. The HTC One X is retailing for RM2099 while the One V has an RRP of RM999.
